Dodgers option Grant Dayton to Triple-A to make room for Rich Hill

LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers activated Rich Hill from the disabled list on Tuesday to make his start against the Giants, and to make room on the active roster left-handed relief pitcher Grant Dayton to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Dayton has a 5.25 ERA and 5.18 FIP in 14 games this season, with nine strikeouts and six walks in 12 innings. The left-hander allowed two runs in one inning in Monday’s loss to the Giants, including a home run to Buster Posey.

After missing 10 days with an intercostal strain in April, Dayton has allowed seven runs in 5u2154 innings, including two home runs, in seven appearances.
