Dodgers Officially Activate Tony Gonsolin, Rookie Right Hander Optioned

The Cat-Man is back! Today the Dodgers officially welcomed back Tony Gonsolin who will be making his 2023 debut at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. The right-hander had been recovering from a sprained ankle suffered during the second week of spring training. In order to make room on the 26-man roster for Gonsolin, RHP Andre Jackson was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Gonsolin is coming back a little earlier than planned thanks to a groin injury to third string number five starter Michael Grove. But he and the Dodgers feel that he’s in a good enough spot coming off of one rehab outing, which came last week.
