The Dodgers have officially lost their lead in the NL West, and are now tied with the San Diego Padres for first place.
In more unfortunate news, right-hander Tony Gonsolin has undergone elbow surgery and will miss 8-10 months. President of baseball operations Andrew Friedman clarified that this won’t be Gonsolin’s second Tommy John surgery, but it is a Tommy John revision with a flexor cleanup.
