Dodgers Notes: Pitcher Elects to Leave Organization, Roster Moves Incoming, Major Injury Updates

The Los Angeles Dodgers devoured the bitter rival San Francisco Giants, 11-5, and improved to 42-29. Fans were treated to seven scoreless innings from Clayton Kershaw and some electric offense, as home runs and curveballs alike flew through Dodger Stadium on Saturday evening.

Ahead of the divisional pounding, a pitcher elected to leave the organization for free agency. The right-hander was designated for assignment by L.A. last week.

Additionally, there are some more pitching-related moves to be made as a young pitcher looks to be activated from the injured list. Although he hasn’t stepped on an MLB mound since 2023, Emmet Sheehan has put together a promising rehab assignment in Triple-A and hopes to provide a spark to a pitching roster in need of more depth.
