The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Los Angeles Angels, 6-5, on Wednesday evening and were swept by the Halos for the second time this season in brutal fashion. The Dodgers fell to 68-53 on the year, lost their seventh consecutive game in a row to the Angels, and are now in second place in the National League West division for the first time since April 28.
The Dodgers play the now-first-place San Diego Padres six times over the next 11 days in a stretch that will have major October implications.
Ahead of the eventual defeat, All-Star third baseman Max Muncy was scratched from the lineup.
