The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Mets, 6-5, thanks to a walk-off, 10th inning double by Freddie Freeman to even the four-game set at one game a piece. L.A. improved to 37-24 with the win.
Ahead of the eventual victory, the Dodgers signed a right-handed pitcher to bolster their bullpen. The 33-year-old looks to bring his demonstrated durability over his 11 seasons in MLB to the ailing pitching roster.
That wasn’t the only move of the day as L.A. made a few other roster edits on Tuesday. A veteran catcher was designated for assignment, and a newly acquired pitcher was optioned to Triple-A.
