The Los Angeles Dodgers kicked off their offseason with a trade with the Seattle Mariners on Sunday evening.
The Dodgers sent 40-man roster addition Robinson Ortiz to the American League West squad in exchange for 22-year-old right-hander Tyler Gough.
In other news, World Series winner Ben Rortvedt sent a message to the Dodgers and their fans after the Cincinnati Reds claimed him off waivers.
“It was tough when I came in but I really appreciate the support,” he said. “It’s been really cool to come in and try to do my job but feel support from the fans and be able to be myself.
