The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 5-0, on Friday as Clayton Kershaw and Justin Wrobleski allowed just six hits in a combined shutout effort. LA improved to 64-46 on the year.
Ahead of the eventual victory, the Dodgers made a roster move, activating three of their newest players who were acquired at the trade deadline. Two of the new Dodgers took Dustin May and James Outman’s spots on the roster, while the third one took Kirby Yates’ spot in the bullpen, as the All-Star reliever was placed on the injured list with back pain.
