The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-7, on Saturday night and fell to 58-41 on the year. The offense seemed to show signs of life, however, as Shohei Ohtani, Tommy Edman, and Miguel Rojas all went yard.
Ahead of the eventual defeat, LA made a roster move to clear room on the 40-man roster. Originally drafted by the Dodgers, the right-hander was claimed off waivers last week and was then outrighted to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday.
Additionally, superstar Mookie Betts was benched on Saturday due to his ongoing slump. Manager Dave Roberts spoke on the shortstop continuing to put in work amid his lack of production, but chose that taking the day off Saturday would be beneficial for the eight-time All-Star.
