The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Seattle Mariners, 5-3, on Saturday night thanks to a two-run Kiké Hernández double in the top of the ninth inning. LA improved to 92-69 on the year during the penultimate game of the regular season.
Ahead of the eventual victory the Dodgers made a very important roster move to potentially bolster their pitching roster ahead of the postseason. Veteran southpaw Andrew Heaney has a 0.90 ERA across four appearances in Triple-A this season and could prove to be a pivotal piece for the bullpen.
Additionally, slugging third baseman Max Muncy has an injury update.
