Dodgers Notes: LA Makes Roster Move, Kiké Hernandez Return Update, Walker Buehler Loses Job

The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the San Diego Padres, 2-1, on Friday night and fell to 73-56 on the year.

Ahead of the eventual loss, the Dodgers made a roster move and activated a former Padres pitcher from the injured list. Right-hander Matt Sauer was optioned in a corresponding move.

Additionally, utility star Kiké Hernández has a promising update as he recovers from his left elbow sprain in early July. There had been recent concern that the fan favorite wouldn’t return this season, but manager Dave Roberts asserted that a return as early as next week is ‘feasible.
