The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Cincinnati Reds, 5-2, on Wednesday and fell to 63-46 on the year.
After the loss, the Dodgers were involved in a three-team trade and acquired three players from the Tampa Bay Rays and Cincinnati Reds. LA parted ways with a depth catcher as a result, but received increased pitching depth for the farm system.
There was a scary moment during the contest as Shohei Ohtani left his pitching outing after he threw six balls in a row (two of which were wild pitches) in the fourth inning. The three-time MVP left the mound and went straight to the clubhouse, but stayed in the game as a designated hitter.
