Dodgers Notes: Kershaw’s Future, Pair of Pitchers Unavailable to Open NLDS, What Comes Next?

The Los Angeles Dodgers were blown out in their first game of the postseason. Starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw allowed six runs in just a third of an inning as the Arizona Diamondbacks cruised to an 11-2 victory in LA. It was a painful and, as Dave Roberts put it, “shocking” start to the game.

In other news, the Diamondbacks manager spoke on one of the Dodgers’ greatest strengths and Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman were both named finalists for the Hank Aaron Award. Plus Roberts shared before Game 1 that both Lance Lynn and Ryan Pepiot would be unavailable for both Games 1 and 2 after just recently pitching during the down time before the series start.
