Dodgers Notes: Freddie Freeman Injury, Max Muncy Almost Retired Once, Huge Series Win Over Padres

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Diego Padres, 5-2, to take the series down South and improve to 41-28 on the year.

Ahead of the eventual win, manager Dave Roberts revealed that Freddie Freeman injured his quad on Tuesday night. The MVP was still able to play Wednesday and even went 1-for-4 with an infield single and a run.

In other Dodgers news, All-Star third baseman Max Muncy recently discussed how he almost retired from MLB before becoming a member of the Dodgers. After a below-average stint with the Oakland Athletics, Muncy talked about how close he was to hanging it up.
