Dodgers Notes: Benches Clear vs Padres, Dave Roberts and Mike Shildt Fight, LA Makes Surprise Roster Move

The Los Angeles Dodgers lost 5-3 to the San Diego Padres in the series finale of a four-game set Thursday night. The rivalry matchup was full of bad blood and tensions peaked during the conclusion of the series.

Right-hander Jack Little, who was making his Major League debut, struck Fernando Tatis Jr. in the hand. Tatis fell to the ground and the hit by pitch caused both the Dodgers and Padres benches to clear.

Manager Dave Roberts and Padres skipper Mike Shildt exchanged angry words, and even began to get physical. However, the two managers were separated by coaching staff and players.
