Last week, veteran MLB shortstop Jose Iglesias opted out of a minor league deal with the Miami Marlins. Given the state of the shortstop position at the time for the Dodgers — Luke Williams was starting — it got fans talking… and asking. Should they sign Iglesias?
The response was mixed.
Most fans identified the obvious need for LA at shortstop, particularly with Miguel Rojas on the IL and Chris Taylor sidelined with an oblique issue. While others felt that the long-time major league infielder wasn’t really exceptional, especially at this point in his career.
