Dodgers News: Trayce Thompson Expected To Be Eased Into Cactus League Games

The Los Angeles Dodgers begin their slate of Cactus League games on Saturday with a starting outfield comprised of Andrew Toles, Joc Pederson and Yasiel Puig, from left to right field. Cody Bellinger, Andre Ethier, Franklin Gutierrez, Kiké Hernandez and Scott Van Slyke are expected to see time in the outfield throughout spring.

Trayce Thompson may eventually join the group, though he’s still on the mend from multiple fractures in his back. Thompson began to suffer from back pain last May and played through the discomfort into July.

He was initially diagnosed with lower back irritation and placed on the 15-day disabled list immediately after the All-Star break.
