Dodgers News: Tommy Kahnle Out For Season, Was He a Bad/Good Signing? Knebel is Bullpen’s X-Factor

Chances were slim, but there was some hope that Tommy Kahnle, who underwent Tommy John surgery in August of 2020, would be ready to go by late this season or possibly the start of the postseason. However, Dodgers fans will have to wait until 2022 to see Kahnle on the mound.

According to Bill Plunkett of the OC Register, Kahnle will not pitch this year and has only progressed to playing catch as of right now. LA signed the right-handed reliever back in late December 2020, to a two-year $4.75 million deal that included the potential to earn an extra $750K in incentives.
