Within three days, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ lineup took two massive hits. Utility man Tommy Edman and right fielder Teoscar Hernández went down with injuries in the same week.
The pair are staples in the Dodgers’ batting order. Hernández’s nine home runs this season ties with first baseman Freddie Freeman for the second-most on the team, while Edman’s eight homers ranks third.
Both injuries seemed minor initially. But Hernández and Edman will reportedly remain on the injured list through the weekend, missing the Freeway Series against the Los Angeles Angels.

The Dodgers placed Hernández on the 10-day IL with a Grade 1 adductor strain on May 6.
