The Dodgers placed RHP Daniel Hudson on the 60-day injured list on Tuesday to make room for utility man Luke Williams on the 40-man roster. The move somewhat came out of nowhere, as the Dodgers initially expected Hudson to be back by spring training. While he wasn’t ready for the start of the season, Dodger fans expected him to be back shortly after.
However, that clearly wasn’t the case and, on Tuesday, his target return date was pushed back until June at the earliest.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts spoke to reporters after the announcement dropped on Tuesday, and shared exactly why Hudson was placed on the 60-day IL.
