All spring long Dodgers fans have been waiting to see the big time bat that Miguel Vargas was rumored to have. However, a fractured pinkie finger on his right hand kept the bat on his shoulder over the first few weeks of games.
However, on Thursday, he finally got the green light to swing… and he nearly went yard.
Vargas just missed a home run on an effortless looking swing in the first inning. The ball went for a ground rule double and the pent-up frustration quickly went to the wayside.
