Dodgers News: Michael Grove Placed on IL, Jake Reed Joins Active Roster

Another tough break for the Dodgers on the injury front as rookie starting pitcher Michael Grove will be sidelined for at least two weeks after suffering a right groin strain. On Friday morning, the team announced Grove is heading to the 15-day injured list and right-handed pitcher Jake Reed is joining the active roster.

MLB.com’s Juan Toribio was among those to report the news.

In a corresponding move, RHP Ryan Pepiot was transferred from the 15-day to the 60-day IL as he recovers from an oblique injury.

On the injury, Dave Roberts said the issue happened when Grove slipped on the mound at Wrigley during warm ups.
