Dodgers News: Jaime Jarrín Receiving Professional Baseball Scouts Foundation’s Pioneer Award

Famed Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Jaime Jarrín will be presented with the Pioneer Award from the Professional Baseball Scouts Foundation (PBSF) at their 16th annual “In the Spirit of the Game” fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The annual event will also see Paul Beeston, Tommy John, Torey Lovullo, Jamie Moyer, Mickey Segal and Frank Thomas, among others, honored at the event. Former Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda, who is on the Foundation’s board of directors, is due to present.

MLB Network, Larry King and others will combine to host the event. The PBSF was founded in 2003 in effort to assist baseball scouts who lose their jobs, suffer an illness, retirement or other setbacks.
