The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated Rich Hill from the 10-day disabled list and optioned Grant Dayton to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Hill starts Tuesday night against the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park.
The outing is Hill’s first in a Major League game since April 16. The chronic blister on Hill’s left middle finger has limited him to just eight innings pitched across two starts. He’s allowed three runs on seven hits, including two home runs, has seven strikeouts and five walks.
Hill completed a two-game rehab assignment with High-A Rancho Cucamonga. The first start was brief, only 29 pitches in two-thirds of an inning.
