The Los Angeles Dodgers have yet to play a game during the 2020 regular season, but Gavin Lux has their virtual counterparts in the MLB The Show Players League playoffs, which begins Friday.
Lux finished regular season play at 19-10, though settled for the eighth and final playoff spot because of losing the head-to-head tiebreaker of runs scored (78 to 77) to the Chicago Cubs’ Ian Happ.
He too went 19-10 but in drastically different fashion than Lux. Whereas Happ won 10 of his last 11 games, Lux jumped out to a 12-4 record before cooling off as the season progressed.
