While there is confidence among Major League Baseball players and officials that there will be a regular season in some form this year, one figures to only be practical if compromises are reached.

As the league discusses a multitude of scenarios that would allow play to resume as soon as May, almost every proposal thus far has called for teams beginning the 2020 campaign in a centralized location.

For many players, this is an easy sacrifice to make in order to accelerate the timeline of baseball starting back up. Others, though, have made it clear they are not willing to relocate from their families for a long period of time.
