An anticipated Dustin May return quickly became sour as May struggled after an emphatic return and soon went down with a back injury. The injury was enough to sideline him for the rest of the regular season putting his availability for the postseason in question.
May has recently pitched two simulated innings and feels ready to go after being placed in IL late in September. It remains to be seen of course how confident Dave Roberts will be with May moving forward.
However, with all things considered at least May feels confident enough in himself to be able to go out there with the team whenever he is called upon.
