Dodgers News: Dave Roberts Applauds James Outman’s Attitude Amid First Mini Slump

Baseball is a game of ups and downs; hot streaks and cold streaks. Heading into the game on Saturday, Dodgers rookie James Outman was in the midst of his first mini slump of the season, and really of his young career as a big leaguer. He was mired in an 0-11 stretch with 9 strikeouts.

Despite the cold streak, Outman stayed positive. At least, that’s what manager Dave Roberts said before Saturday night’s win.

“It’s been a tough few days for James, but even today, he came in fresh and positive, expecting something good to happen, as opposed to kind of running away and hiding.
