Trea Turner is looking more like a former Dodgers shortstop as each day passes by. After a career year for the All-Star, Turner now explores the open market and expects to make top dollar this off-season, and rightfully so.
Turner is coming off his first Silver Slugger award of his career and appeared in 160 games batting a .298 average to go along with his 194 hits, 101 runs and 100 RBI’s. Without Turner, the Dodgers would not have set the franchise record in wins.
With Turner likely to leave, there were reports of Gavin Lux possibly taking the shortstop position if the Dodgers don’t find a replacement in free agency.
