Dodgers News: Clayton Kershaw Believes White Athletes Must ‘Be A Voice’ And ‘Promote As Much Change As We Can’

Ever since the tragic death of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis last month, millions of people around the world have come together to protest racial injustices and police brutality, among other social issues.

Many athletes have spoken out on this subject, including longtime Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, who was inspired to address social issues after conversing with his African-American teammates and coaches.

The left-hander issued a statement on the eve of Juneteenth, recognizing the importance of the day while extending his support to the Black Lives Matter movement.

His powerful words were met with praise from the likes of David Price, Kenley Jansen and Walker Buehler.
