Preseason prospect rankings offer normalcy for baseball fans languishing in the lockout. Even in a typical year, February is typically the time where prospect experts release their rankings for the coming season. FanGraphs posted their list on Wednesday and included four Dodgers prospects in their top 100.
Diego Cartaya – Catcher (37)
The FanGraphs staff is not as high on Cartaya as some other experts, but still believe he has an “All-Star ceiling”. Their main concern was back and hamstring injuries leading to a small sample size. Cartaya played in just 31 games last year in Low-A.
