Dodgers: Muncy Reflects on First Healthy Approach to Postseason in Years

The 2021 season did not end as Dodgers fans hoped it would. LA got bounced in the NLCS to eventual champs Atlanta Braves in six games, and everyone was gassed by the end.

The Dodgers suffered a massive blow to their championship aspirations even before the playoffs started. Clayton Kershaw was placed on the IL with a left forearm injury, and one of their biggest bats and MVP candidate in 2021, Max Muncy, tore the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his left elbow. Both Kershaw and Muncy missed the entire postseason.

Muncy’s injury came after a collision at first baseman with Jace Pederson of the Milwaukee Brewers.
