Following the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 4-3 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Monday in which right fielder Teoscar Hernandez was unable to make two key defensive plays, Mookie Betts had a meeting with manager Dave Roberts and president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman, per the Los Angeles Times.
While the content of the meeting is currently unknown, it comes at an interesting time amid Hernandez’s struggles in the outfield.
Betts transitioned to being the team’s full-time shortstop last year amid Gavin Lux’s struggles, but went back to right field after breaking his hand.
This year, after a full offseason of work, Betts again entered the season as the full-time shortstop.
