CHICAGO >> You know the old baseball saying that you can’t clinch a playoff berth in June?
Two Dodgers minor-league affiliates did. The advanced Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and low Single-A Great Lakes Loons each finished the first half of their seasons in first place, clinching an automatic playoff berth.
The Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers would be in the playoffs too, if the Pacific Coast League split its seasons into halves.
