Dodgers’ Michael Kopech Reveals When He Plans on Returning This Season

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been severely hampered by pitching injuries this season, but one of their most productive relievers from last season has been out since the end of June after throwing just seven innings all year.

Right-hander Michael Kopech was dealing with a right shoulder impingement during spring training, and finally made his season debut on June 8. After dealing with knee inflammation and once again hitting the injured list, Kopech then underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus earlier this month.

Although a midseason surgery sounds severe, Kopech spoke on his recovery process and even how he is counting down the days until he is eligible to return for a potential activation off the IL ahead of the fall.
