The Los Angeles Dodgers made their first trade of the offseason Sunday evening, acquiring 22-year-old right-handed pitcher Tyler Gough from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for right-handed pitcher Robinson Ortiz.
The Mariners drafted Gough in the ninth round of the 2022 MLB Draft out of high school, and he has been in Single-A since his debut in 2023. He made 10 appearances and nine starts that season — spending a few months on the injured list — and kept a 5.70 ERA through 30 innings pitched.
Gough played far better in 2024, making 23 starts and posting a 4.
