The Los Angeles Dodgers have activated left-handed pitcher Blake Snell off the injured list to start Saturday’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
In a corresponding move, the Dodgers optioned right-handed pitcher Paul Gervase. Gervase was acquired earlier this week, just ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline.
Snell, 32, hasn’t pitched since April 2 after dealing with a shoulder injury early in the year.
Snell made just two starts this season for LA — allowing two earned runs with eight walks over nine innings — before being shut down. Four months later, he’s finally set to return as he helps lead the charge to October.
