Dodgers Looking to Add Position Player After Edwin Díaz Signing, Says Andrew Friedman

The Los Angeles Dodgers made their biggest signing of the offseason so far, signing relief pitcher Edwin Diaz to a three-year, $69 million contract, but president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman revealed they are still looking to bring in players.

Friedman revealed the Dodgers are looking for a position player rather than a pitcher, and would prefer someone who is competent with both the bat and the glove.

“I think adding a position player, and ideally someone that’s really good on both sides of the ball,” Friedman said “We have some positional flexibility, so we’re not locked into, ‘It has to be this one specific spot,’ which just increases the chances.
