Dodgers Listed as Free Agency Winner for ‘Stealing’ Edwin Diaz

The Los Angeles Dodgers have only made one big move in free agency this offseason, signing All-Star closer Edwin Diaz to a three-year, $69 million deal at the beginning of December, but the New York Post’s Jon Heyman listed them as one of free agency’s winners halfway through the offseason.

The Dodgers struggled in the bullpen last season, especially during the final month of the season. They had the sixth-worst bullpen ERA in MLB during September, with their mark of 4.90 only finishing better than the Washington Nationals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels.
