NEW YORK -- After 10 weeks on the DL, some accomodations are being made for Clayton Kershaw. But Dodgers manager Dave Roberts still has high expectations of his ace.
"We expect Clayton to be Clayton," Roberts said of Kershaw's start today at Yankee Stadium, his second since returning from a herniated disc in his lower back.
In his first start, Clayton wasn't quite Clayton. He lasted just three innings in Miami and was not his usual overwhelming self, throwing 66 pitches and allowing two runs on five hits. With concerns about how he would react physically to the return to action assuaged, Roberts expects Kershaw to make another step back towards his usual dominance today.
