The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to even the series on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals after dropping Monday’s game, 3-2.
Right-handed pitcher Emmet Sheehan (2-2, 3.60 ERA) is taking the mound for LA, starting for the fifth time this season in what will be his seventh appearance.
Opposite Sheehan will be right-handed pitcher Miles Mikolas (6-8, 4.83 ERA), coming off back-to-back strong starts in which he’s allowed just two runs over 11 innings of work.
Catcher Will Smith is getting the day off, replaced by Dalton Rushing in the lineup. Another rookie, Alex Freeland, is getting the start at second base.
