Dodgers ‘Likely’ to Pick Up Max Muncy’s $10 Million Option, Says Insider

One of the most consistent members of the Los Angeles Dodgers this season has been All-Star third baseman Max Muncy.

After starting the season with a brutal slump, batting .180 with no home runs through his first 28 games, Muncy started to wear glasses to address astigmatism in his right eye. The production since sporting the new look has been night and day.

The slugging third baseman has been hitting .284 with an OPS of .999 since wearing his glasses. Even after a scary looking knee injury sidelined him for a month in July, and an oblique injury held him out for close to another month, Muncy is back for the home stretch of the season.
