Dodgers: Julio Urías Has No Explanation For His Notable Velocity Dip

Julio Urías has a good chance to reach 20 wins in 2021. If he can reach that mark, he would be the first Dodgers pitcher to do so since Clayton Kershaw in 2014. But although that number would be great, there are deeper concerns for Julio.

Urías has thrown 174.1 innings this season which is good for eighth in the National League. Julio’s career-high at the big league level was 79.2 innings in 2019, and his combined high between MLB and the minors is 122. That was before the Dodgers southpaw underwent major shoulder surgery.
