The Dodgers and Andrew Friedman are not done making moves this offseason. Los Angeles had to designate Josh Sborz for assignment earlier this week, and he was thought to have cleared waivers.
That appears to be true as the Dodgers have traded Sborz to the Texas Rangers. The move comes after Los Angeles DFA’d his in a corresponding move as they made the Trevor Bauer signing official. Sborz heads to Texas as the Rangers send back another pitcher.
Sborz was selected in the second round of the 2015 draft by the Dodgers out of the University of Virginia.
