Dodgers’ Interest in Cardinals All-Star Seemingly Fades in Latest Update

The Los Angeles Dodgers were one of the teams reportedly in the trade market exploring a deal for utilityman Brendan Donovan, though they might be out of the picture for the time being.

Donovan is primarily an infielder who can moonlight in a corner outfielder spot. He is firmly in the middle of his athletic prime at the age of 28, and he is coming off an All-Star season.

Additionally, he has won a Gold Glove award, highlighting his defensive ability.

Naturally, the Dodgers, who are looking to improve their fielding options — especially in the outfield — were among the teams interested in Donovan, though, according to new reporting from The Athletic, his market has seemingly shifted as other teams are in the picture.
