Dodgers Injuries: Edwin Rios Undergoing Season-Ending Surgery

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced Edwin Rios will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a partially torn labrum in his right shoulder. The operation will be completed next week, and Rios joins Dustin May as players the Dodgers have lost for the season.

Rios was placed on the 10-day injured list last week due to right shoulder inflammation. He was mired in an 0-for-32 skid with four walks, 12 strikeouts and one hit by pitch at the time of being sidelined.

Rios’ last hit was a one-out single in the fifth inning on April 13. He flied out two innings later to begin the offensive drought.
