When Kenley Jansen was placed on the 10-day disabled list because of an irregular heartbeat, manager Dave Roberts acknowledged the domino effect could involve accelerating Julio Urias’ rehab assignment.
After all, the organization had already made the decision to bring Urias off the 60-day disabled list as a relief pitcher. That would not require as much time for the young lefty to condition his arm.
Roberts later backtracked on that sentiment a bit, and Urias remained on an odd schedule with his rehab assignments. He’s scheduled to pitch Tuesday, presumably remaining with the Dodgers’ High-A Rancho Cucamonga affiliate.
