When Chicago White Sox outfielder Michael Taylor collided with Max Muncy at third base last week, Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes thought Muncy would be out for the rest of the season.
But after undergoing an MRI, the results found that Muncy did not sustain any structural damage to his knee.
The Dodgers are expecting Muncy to be sidelined for six weeks. Tommy Edman, who has played second base for the majority of the season, has started taking ground balls at third base.
Edman was out Sunday through Tuesday, though, and during his absence, utility Hyeseong Kim filled in at second base while Miguel Rojas played at third.
