Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith has been on the injured list since Sept 9, but has been dealing with a fracture in his hand since a foul ball hit him about on Sept. 3. LA originally thought that it was a deep bone bruise, especially after initial testing was clean, but additional imaging revealed a hairline fracture.
Smith is currently wearing a splint on his hand and will try to get ramped up for the postseason, but that all depends on how much pain he is in by next week.
