The Los Angeles Dodgers have earned a reputation for making blockbuster deals at the trade deadline.
In the past they’ve acquired names like Manny Machado, Yu Darvish, Max Scherzer and Trea Turner at the deadline.
Last season, they acquired shortstop Tommy Edman and reliever Michael Kopech in a three-team trade deal — two players who played a key role in the team’s 2024 World Series run. The Dodgers also landed starter Jack Flaherty from the Detroit Tigers.
But this season, Los Angeles did not make any major additions to their roster, despite being linked to several big names ahead of the deadline.
